Insert 8mm safety eyes between the 5th and 6th rows (the 2 rows of 30sc) Position them so 5 sc are between them Position them so their center is about opposite the start of the row, keeping in mind the position could affect how centered the hair is.

Hair
Use brown for the hair, except for one strand of silver gray
To add a strand of hair insert crochet hook through a stitch on the top of the head, fold a 4 inch piece of yarn in half and pull the middle through the stitch. Then use the crochet hook to pull in the 2 ends of the piece through the loop you just made and pull tight. Here is an example of this technique (although she is using a hair cap, whereas we are going directly into the head) https://youtu.be/PfMYJMyqYEI?t=179
Leave a few bald patches so that the hair doesn’t get too poofy. Smooth the hair back and cut it short in the back while leaving the front relatively long.
Cut off the excess length of the strands when you have covered the head with hair
Once the hair is in place, needle felt a beard and goatee.
